The trial of Saddam

It's right up there with the trial of Galileo, Jesus, and any black person in the Jim Crow south. Why don't they just call it what it is? It's his last hurrah. It's not a trial. It's the last time he gets to talk to someone besides himself. After the "trial," it just gonna be him and some rats.

I heard somewhere that his lawyers think he has a shot to beat the charges. Now those are some damn good lawyers. The never-say-die kind that I would love to have on my side. You know, just in case I turn into a dictator/mass-murderer.
